User's recommendation: Not at this location but maybe the Bowie location I love that store great customer service. That where I originally ordered my glasses.
Extremely poor costumer sevice.
I have been going to My Eye Dr. on Normandy Blvd.
in Jacksonville, Florida for many years and have always experienced good service until now. On 10/23/2023 I had my annual eye exam. When I scheduled the exam online, I was not aware that it would be a virtual exam. A trial pair of contacts had to be ordered.
On 11/1, I had an appointment to pick up my trail pair of contacts. Upon putting in the contacts, I noticed that my sight was blurry for both near and distant vision. I informed the technician, and she told me to try the contacts for a few days and if they didn't work to come back and they would order a different pair. No one didn't even check my vision!
I made an appointment for 11/8 to have a different pair of contacts ordered.
My appointment was for 5 PM and I had to fill out the same forms that I had already filled out for my annual exam. I told the person at the front desk that I had already completed these forms during my exam. She informed me that they were required by law to have me fill out the forms again. After waiting until 6:15 pm, I was finally called back into the exam room.
Someone did a quick vision test of me with my old contacts in, and then with the trial pair in that did not work. For several years I had been wearing Alcon Air Optics contacts and never had any problems with them. For some reason, the doctor during the virtual exam decided to put me in Cooper Vision contacts. During the appointment on 11/8, I told the person helping me that I wished to go back to Alcon Air Optics contacts.
She told me that they were ordering me a trial pair of Air Optics for my new prescription, and they would call me when the contacts came in. On 11/30, after not receiving a call concerning my contacts, I called My Eye Dr. on Normandy Blvd and asked to speak to a manager. I was told that a manager would be with me in about 2 minutes.
After being on hold for 20 minutes, a person answered and said that the manager would have to call me back. Its now 2/20/2024, and a manager has never called me. It has been nearly 3 months since my annual exam, and I still don't have a working pair of trial contacts. This is totally unacceptable!
This experience has destroyed my confidence with My Eye Dr. I am a long-standing client, and this should never happen to me or anyone else.
Preferred solution: A working pair of trail contacts.
User's recommendation: Shop elsewhere for your vision needs.
Customer Service
Please note this review is only for Dr. Jessica Vien at the Farm to Market Location at 4011 FM 1463 Katy.
The other staff, especially Sean have superior customer service and are professionals. This is to bring attention to unprofessional conduct of Dr. Jessica Vien. I was late for my appointment, which is totally my fault.
I take responsibility for my tardiness. I thought the appointment was at 10:45 not 10:40. I arrived at 10:58 thinking I still was within the grace period of 15 minutes. Well, I was 18 minutes late which was conveyed by the check in person.
Turns out my appointment was actually at 10:40. Per the General Manager which was the location when this unprofessional exchange occurred told me the 15 minutes grace period is only when they do not have back to back patients. How am I supposed to know this??? The issue I have is Dr.
Vien was extremely rude as she conveyed to me that I had to reschedule my appointment. I simply asked her why I had to reschedule because again I thought my appointment was at 10:45 so I thought I was well within the 15 minutes grace period. Turns out as I mentioned my appointment was at 10:40. Of course if I am late, I should have to reschedule if I cannot be seen.
The issue I have was the way this was communicated by Dr. Vien. She was extremely rude. She was very rude in her tone when she told me I would have to reschedule my appointment.
When I simply asked her "Can I ask why I have to reschedule" Again, I am thinking my appointment was at 10:45 and I am still within the 15 minutes grace period. She again in her rude tone tells me "you have to reschedule your appointment, Sean already told you if the 11:00 o'clock shows you cannot be seen" The issue I have is her tone and her unprofessional manner. There is a way to convey a message and professional courtesy is always the way. The matter was brought up to the General Manager who as I mentioned previously was present during the exchange.
He was the one that explained that the 15 minutes grace period is only enforced when they do not have back to back patients. Again, how am I supposed to know this??? The Ross family will no longer visit this location.
I today went to the MyEyeDr at 1534 W Grand Pkwy South in Katy where I received a quality service and great customer service from Dr. Tran and his staff.Go to the

STAY AWAYStay awayI was going to lensecrafters for years. My Medicare insurance plan was not accepted.
So for contact and glasses check up. I would pay $207. When I found out myeyedr took my insurance. I decided to try.
There fee they told me after was bases on my insurance would cover $205. So glasses check up $205 is what they charged my insurance. Then they preceded to charge me $125 for what.they said was contact check up and fitting. So total charged for both $335.
Wtf!!. I then asked if i.did not have insurance how much both $269. All ordered 2 sets of glasses and used frames I owned. Later looking at receipt they charged me $29 per pair for protection plan.
Never asked if I wanted or needed , just added and charged me. Was able to get this refunded. I WILL NOT BE GOING TO MYEYEDR EVER AGAIN!!

I had an appointment on 10/23/23 at 1765 Central Park Avenue Yonker, NY. The person filling my prescription automatically added polycarbonate single vision for my reading glasses without asking if I wanted it, I don't even know what this is.
Upon receiving a bill for it I phoned the location and was told that my insurance covers it so their practice is to automatically include it. I stated to her that the glasses are only for reading so why would I put anything extra on them. I informed her that doing this made me go over the dollar amount that my insurance covers and now I'm being billed. She said she would look into it and get back to me.
It's been over two months and as of yet I've heard nothing from her and I doubt that I will. She did this for the sole purpose of inflating the bill.
I'm refusing to pay the bill; I've made my insurance aware of this practice; I will also be writing a review alerting others as well as filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say, I no longer need your services.

Lost my paid for new eyeglasses that needed to be shipped back-California, Maryland office
Refused to refund glasses causing multiple communication emails Kannapolis, NC office
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
One office in Lexington park, MD schooled me on how I am supposed to be fitted and said whoever did what they did, did it wrong with fitting me because my glasses never fit my face. However, when she asked what insurance I had she then said my insurance wouldn't pay if she redid my glasses and abruptly stopped assisting me and I have Eye Med private insurance?!?!
I can go into any one of their locations to get glasses after a prescription!!!
I now felt pressured to pick out a pair of glasses on 9/19 because the ones I purchased on 9/06 didnt fit/couldnt see and I was REFUSED A REFUND!!! So I have still in my account an order for the glasses after I was told the Kannapolis office will cancel that order and refund the money as soon as they get the glasses back from the Maryland office. I knew that may take a while so I called and the manager said that they had not been sent yet. I sent my son that day to pick up my glasses because I was returning to BC that weekend or I would mail them myself.
They told my son they had no clue where the glasses were and they could not give him my Dr. Notes. Even thought I had called earlier and they said No problem send him in!!! So then I called the office and was told that my glasses were LOST!!!
And they had not been sent!!!
So now I sit with no glasses and no refund. Out money and out glasses.
They want you to only purchase there. Nothing was explained to me about having any options to get my prescription or notes and getting my glasses made elsewhere if I didnt find a fit. Nothing was explained at all in Kannapolis after I told her when I got them back that I CANT SEE!!
She advised me to NOT WEAR THEM!!! DO NOT WEAR THEM DRIVING RIGHT AWAY?!?! I needed them for driving?!?! WTH?!
At the California Maryland office a man also came in while my son was in there and he had ordered safety glasses for his job.
They said they already gave them to someone. So someone had picked them up. He stated he never gave anyone permission to pick up his glasses. He was going out of town with his company and needed his glasses for his job for safety reasons and they gave them to another person!!!
What kind of company does this???
*** Also, I immediately looked on eBay and there are coincidentally lots of myeyeDr. Items for sale including prescription glasses???

Verified Reviewer |Wrong order/incompetent staff
Had eyes examined on 1/11/24 and went to pick up glasses today (1/26) for myself and my partner. My order was never even submitted as the woman who waited on us said her computer was unable to accept an order for 3 pairs of glasses even though it did not exceed our insurance limit of $300.
She mentioned this on 1/11 and never followed up by calling either me or the insurance company. She insisted I had to call the insurance company and there was nothing she could do on her end. So I called them and they in turn called her and said I would need to go elsewhere to get my new glasses as she was unable to put the order in her computer.
The order for my partner was supposed to be for polorized sunglasses, but they were regular lens. She tried to tell me that my partner never ordered sunglasses and only wanted those specific frames.
I told her she said that the polorized sunglasses amounted to $338 and she was sure that there would be no further cost to us and would put in the order. Then she said today that the actual cost would have been $450 for the sunglasses.
I finally told her to just make them regular sunglasses.
This woman in the Leesburg, Florida office is rude and totally incompetent. Would not advice going to this office.

I showed up just after they opened this morning. Two people waiting in the lobby that seats 25. My eye was swollen. Shut from some kind of an eye infection that I woke up with unable to open the eye.
With insurance, cash in hand, and I need to alleviate the swelling and pain. I was told we have no appointments available for the next two days. Check back with us.
They could see my eye was swollen, and infected, and made no effort whatsoever to even attempt to provide any relief.
I wouldnt return here for service or a pair of glasses if I had one eye left, and could barely see out of it, and they were the only available! I go to a pharmacist and ask for help.

We really liked Dr. Flores; however, the receptionists ruined it for us.
We ordered contacts over the phone. Waited two weeks only to find out they were never ordered. Scheduled an appointment for it to be canceled and rescheduled. I will give anyone grace because doctors get sick too.
My son was 10 minutes late to the rescheduled appointment due to checking out ant school and was asked to reschedule the appointment. We will take our business elsewhere. We gave them grace only to be turned away for being 10 minutes late.
If they wouldve ordered his contacts like we asked to begin with then they would still have our business. This isnt the first time weve had trouble with getting them to order things.
User's recommendation: Don’t order from them

I have been going to the my eye Dr business for many years. The last couple years I've been at a new location.
I get contact through my insurance and pay out of pocket for glasses. I wear glasses for about 30 hours a month. Total which is not that often. The arm of the glasses broke the metal out of the arm.
I was told entire frame has to be replaced. Ok great it's 29$ and we can get that done...umm no it should be free it's been less than 6 months and I never wear them. Spoke the patient relations and manager at the office. Still want me to pay to have them repaired.
It was a defect. I know because I still have 6 pairs of glasses from years past from the my eye Dr so I know they don't have issues. That's why I'm upset.
The protection plan was never brought up or offered to me on my glasses. Yet they want me to pay for my replacement.

"I was late for my appointment" The End...REAL men don't "think" they have an appointment, REAL men KNOW when their appointments are and arrive early unlike you. Then you have the temerity to start drama because you as half a man couldn't get over your feeling of being told no and are now dripping.
You're acting like a female you silly muppet. P.S.
