I called my ins prior to making a appointment to see where I could go. I then made a appointment with the MyEyeDr that is closest to my home. They took my cards when I got there, took me back for exam before I finished the paperwork.

I needed glasses so she sends me to the person in that area. At that point the front desk person asks for me medical insurance card, says they don’t participate with my vision insurance. I explained to them the steps I took prior to making the appointment and that when I made it they took my insurance info. She walked away then returned to tell me not to worry that they charged my health insurance.

Then they told me to go to their office 20min away and that I can get me glasses there.....

I drive to the other office, the office was empty the two ladies were RUDE didn’t acknowledge that I was there etc. Finally the lady had me take a seat, pulled my insurance info and said I have $150.00 in coverage. She then walks me to a section where she said that I could get a complete set lenses and frame for $120 Ok, great I needed glasses for reading my script is weird so store ones won’t work. I found a pair I liked then she starts the computer work and says “the good news is after your insurance these are $467 your cost”. I was confused and said I thought they are $120 so now using my ins the cost goes up 400% ? She said yes to bill my ins my cost would be 467, or I could pay cash for $120...... So to use my ins they cost a total of $617? She agreed......she never blinked a eye that this seemed off or anything. I felt stuck and did payout of pocket.

I went home and called my insurance company to see what they can do still waiting on the response

Horrible experience. Horrible staff. Horrible doctors. Horrible prices.

Will not be going back... I’d rather go blind.
